About Fund Manager
Anirudh Ashok Damani ( Managing Partner )
Artha Venture Fund’s Managing Partner is Anirudh A Damani. Previously, Anirudh was the head of Artha India Ventures’ alternative investing business.
He put his money into high-yielding renewable energy projects and early-stage firms with a lot of room for development. Anirudh invested in category-defining businesses including OYO Rooms, Purplle, Tala, NowFloats, Coutloot, Mobilewalla, Rapido, and others at Artha India Ventures. Anirudh formerly worked as an entrepreneur in the energy sector in the United States. He has worked for some of the world’s top energy businesses, including Suez Energy, Direct Energy, Constellation, and others. Anirudh attended Austin College, Cathedral, and the John Connon School in Mumbai.
Investment Philosophy
- The fund’s aim is to invest in seed and early-stage startups in India, regardless of industry; investment themes include fintech, technology-enabled B2B and B2C enterprises, and consumption enablers.
- The fund will make an initial investment in the Seed round and then make subsequent investments in the Pre-Series A and Series A rounds.
