SUNDARAM Emerging Leadership Fund

Sundaram Financing was founded in 1954 when its founder, Sri T. S. Santhanam, saw the promise of hire-purchase finance in India. The firm was founded with a paid-up capital of Rs. 2 lakhs and was promoted by Madras Motor & General Insurance Company, which was one of India’s largest insurance companies at the time until being nationalized in 1971. The firm began with the sole goal of funding the acquisition of commercial vehicles and has since evolved to become one of India’s most reputable financial services organizations. It has over 640 branches across the country, with more than two lakh depositors and three lakh commercial vehicle and auto credit clients. Sundaram Finance Limited now has a diverse presence in Mutual Funds, Housing Finance, General Insurance, Information Technology, and Business Process Outsourcing. Outsourcing and retail distribution of a wide range of financial services and products are both available. The company’s Diamond Jubilee was celebrated in August 2014, after the centennial of its founder’s birth in November 2012.
